Bera District Council was established on 01 January 1998 under the Local Government Act 1976 (Act 171) and has been in operations for 25 years. Bera District Council covers an area of 1,970 square kilometre (not including Forest reserve) (89.0%) while the area of operations is 279 square kilometre (14.0%).
