What is MyID?
MyID is an initiative that uses the Identity Card number as a single reference number for Malaysian citizens as individuals when dealing with Government agencies.
MyID Initiative
The Identity Card is a document of identification for a citizen of Malaysia. The Identity Card number is a unique identification number for each citizen and important information will be obtained and kept by an agency whenever a citizen as an individual deals with a Government agency.
As an effort to continuously improve the Government's service delivery system and in line with the concept of "1 Malaysia, Rakyat Didahulukan, Pencapaian Diutamakan", (1 Malaysia, People First, Performance Now) the Government, under the leadership of YAB Dato' Sri Mohd Najib Bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, has introduced the initiative known as MyID in which the Identity Card number is used as a single reference number for Malaysian citizens. The main objective of this initiative is to facilitate the citizens when dealing with the various Government agencies.
